The Waterboys have added a Canberra date on their first ever Australian tour.

The Waterboys will now play at the Canberra Theatre on January 25, presented by Live Nation.

This will be the first time Mike Scott has brought The Waterboys to Australia. The setlist will cover the three decades of the band as well as showcase the new album ‘An Appointment with Mr Yeats’.

Tickets for the Canberra show will go on sale on December 17 through www.canberratheatrecentre.com.au

All other shows are now on sale.

Dates for The Waterboys in Australia are:

January 19, Brisbane, The Tivoli
January 25, Canberra, Canberra Theatre
January 26, Sydney, Sydney Opera House
January 30, Melbourne, Hamer Hall
January 31, Adelaide, Thebarton Theatre
February 2, Perth, Concert Hall

The Waterboys will also perform at The State Theatre in Sydney for the Sydney festival on January 23.
