Chairlift

JW Player goes here

Brooklyn electro-pop duo Chairlift talk about their new album Something, dance moves, stream-of-consciousness lyrics, Steve Jobs and more.

After an acclaimed 2008 debut Do You Inspire You, excruciatingly hip New York synth-poppers Caroline Polachek and Patrick Wimberly dropped a band member and assembled their 2012 follow-up Something.

We sit down with them to discuss Caroline’s loopy dance for their breakthrough single ‘Amanaemonesia’, how they feel about Steve Jobs’ death since their song ‘Bruises’ broke via an iPod commercial, free-associated lyrics, covering Beyonce, how crowds react to their shimmying tunes, and heaps more.
