Tex Perkins is Australia’s true rock star.

Via The Cruel Sea, Tex Don & Charlie, Beasts of Bourbon and dare we say The Ladyboyz, Perkins has been one of those few artists capable of surfing the cesspool of the Australian music industry and riding the wave all the way to shore.

The latest incarnation of the St Kilda Football Teams favourite son is The Ape.

Tex Perkins and Gus Agars tell the story of The Ape to Paul Cashmere at Noise11.com.
