Aerosmith has been forced to cancel their Let Rock Rule tour date in Concord, CA tonight at the last minute due to illness.

The band issued a statement on their official website:

SAN FRANCISCO (Aug. 13, 2014) – Due to illness, Aerosmith has been forced to cancel the LET ROCK RULE tour date on Aug. 13 at the Concord Pavilion in Concord, CA. The band regrets not being able to perform for their fans. Refunds will be available at point of purchase.

While the band nor their management have issued a statement as far as the nature of the illness, website TMZ is reporting that a band insider has told them that it is Joey Kramer’s heart that caused the cancellation and that further dates are in jeopardy including Saturday’s show in Washington.

The site is also reporting that a different crew member has told them that Kramer will undergo heart surgery; however, TMZ has not been able to confirm the information.

Aerosmith’s upcoming dates include the Gorge, WA (August 16), Denver, CO (August 19) and Dallas, TX (August 22).
