The 2015 APRA Awards will happen three months earlier than this year. The event has been moved from June to March.

The APRA Awards honour songwriters with the 13 categories all voted for by the songwriting community.

The winner of the prestigious ‘Song Of The Year’ this year was James Keogh (aka Vance Joy) who said in a statement,“I’m very grateful and proud to have won this award. It’s very flattering to have been voted by your peers, it’s a proud moment”.

Previous Song of the Year winners have included Powderfinger ‘My Happiness’, Neil Murray ‘My Island Home’, Glenn Richards ‘One Crowded Hour’, Daniel Johns and Julian Hamilton ‘Straight Lines’ and Wally De Backer ‘Somebody that I Used to Know’

Voting for the 24th annual APRA Awards is open until Monday 12 January 2015 for eligible APRA AMCOS members. The shortlist will be announced in January.
