Beware Of Bruce Springsteen Scalpers Michael Gudinski Warns

by Paul Cashmere on September 3, 2013

in Live,News

Frontier Touring boss Michael Gudinski says more Australian Bruce Springsteen shows will be announced so stay clear of scalpers.

Gudinski is warning punters to stay away from scalpers tickets as additional show are currently being negotiated.

“The demand for additional shows is absolutely massive and we’re currently in talks with management to determine where it is possible for additional shows to be added in the run,” Gudinski said. “I’m confident that a lot of the markets will secure another show, although at this point I’m unable to confirm if all markets will. There are numerous logistics and availabilities that need to be factored in, but we hope to have this all finalised very soon.”

Gudinski says that scalpers tickets are never guaranteed to be genuine and if proven to be fake, you will not be admitted to the show.

“When you buy tickets from scalpers, often at greatly inflated prices, there is absolutely no guarantee that you are purchasing a legitimate ticket. Some of these sites can look quite official but unless you’re buying from the official outlets of Ticketek or Ticketmaster on this tour, you’re playing with fire,” he said.

Bruce Springsteen Marks 30 Years Of The Ghost Of Tom Joad

It has now been 30 years since Bruce Springsteen released The Ghost Of Tom Joad, a stark and deeply human record that shifted him away from stadium anthems and back into the quiet, shadowy corners of American storytelling. Released on 21 November 1995, the album arrived at a moment when Springsteen had just reunited in the studio with The E Street Band for part of his Greatest Hits collection, yet he chose to follow that reunion not with bombast, but with one of the most intimate projects of his career.
