Big Day Out has added some guest additions for the 2012 events.

Grinspoon will now play in Sydney on the Essential Stage, Melbourne gets Grind Time Now Australia in the Boiler Room, Das Racist are added to Adelaide’s Boiler Room and The Living End will perform on the Skate Stage in Adelaide.

The 20th Anniversary Big Day Out starts this Friday, January 20, 2012 in Auckland, New Zealand with Kanye West, Soundgarden, Kasabian, My Chemical Romance and Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds leading the international acts.

Dates are:

January 20, Auckland, Mt Smart Stadium
January 22, Gold Coast, Parklands
January 26, Sydney, Showground
January 29, Melbourne, Flemington Racecourse
February 3, Adelaide, Showground
February 5, Perth, Victoria Park Foreshore
