Travis Barker has confirmed that Blink-182 are working on the follow-up to 2023’s One More Time…, with recording activity planned for 2026.

Blink-182 are working on a new studio album, with drummer Travis Barker confirming that the band will be developing the follow-up to 2023’s One More Time… during 2026. Barker disclosed the plans during an interview for The New York Times Popcast while discussing his current production work and forthcoming documentary Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear.
Barker was asked about the projects occupying his time and identified the next Blink-182 album among his current commitments.
“I’m starting a couple of other projects, like producing projects, working on the next Blink album,” Barker said.
When asked whether the work would take place this year or in 2027, he was direct: “Working on the Blink album this year.”
The statement establishes that the next Blink-182 record has moved into the development stage, although Barker did not provide a release date, recording schedule or information about the material being prepared.
The album will follow One More Time…, released in 2023 after the return of founding guitarist and vocalist Tom DeLonge. The record reunited DeLonge with Barker and bassist and vocalist Mark Hoppus, restoring the band’s classic three-piece lineup following DeLonge’s departure in 2015.
For Blink-182, the new project represents the continuation of a period that has seen the group return to recording and touring together after more than a decade of changes to its lineup. One More Time… became the band’s ninth studio album and was followed by international touring.
Barker is simultaneously working on another significant punk-related recording project. He is producing and playing drums on the next album by Alkaline Trio. The connection between the two bands has been particularly notable since Matt Skiba joined Blink-182 following DeLonge’s departure and recorded with the group on California and Nine.
Blink-182 have also recently revisited their catalogue with a 20th anniversary edition of Take Off Your Pants And Jacket, their 2001 album. The reissue adds six tracks to the original album and continues a broader period of activity around the band’s recorded history.
The timing of the new album work also comes as Blink-182’s future touring schedule begins to take shape. The band have been announced as headliners for Germany’s Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park festivals in 2027, alongside additional European performances. Those dates give the group an established live platform as work on the next album progresses.
Any new Blink-182 material would follow a substantial period of activity around One More Time…. The 2023 album was significant not only as the band’s first full-length release with DeLonge since 2012’s Neighborhoods, but also as a continuation of the group’s original creative partnership with Barker and Hoppus.
The forthcoming album would become Blink-182’s 10th studio record. Barker’s comments do not establish whether the band intends to release it in 2027, but the timing of the recording work makes that a possibility. No title, tracklisting or release date has been announced.
Barker’s Blink-182 commitments are only one part of an increasingly broad schedule. His Alkaline Trio production and recording work comes alongside a documentary examining his life and career, while he is also preparing to perform with members of Green Day, Rancid and the Ramones for a major anniversary event.
On August 30, Barker will join Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong, Rancid’s Tim Armstrong and former Ramones bassist CJ Ramone as Cretin Family for an official 50th anniversary celebration of the Ramones’ 1976 debut album. The performance will take place at Hollywood Forever Cemetery in Los Angeles and will feature songs from the Ramones catalogue.
CJ Ramone called the event “the biggest celebration of the Ramones anyone has seen for a long time”, while Billie Joe Armstrong described the band’s influence as continuing through successive generations of punk musicians. Tim Armstrong has also spoken about the impact the Ramones had on him, while Barker described the band as “the blueprint”.
The Ramones celebration will take place shortly after the release of Barker’s documentary, Travis Barker: Louder Than Fear. The 90-minute film examines his career and the aftermath of the 2008 plane crash that killed four of the six people aboard. Barker suffered burns to 65 per cent of his body, spent 11 weeks in hospital and underwent almost 30 surgeries before eventually returning to music.
For Blink-182, the immediate development is the new album. Barker has confirmed that work is taking place during 2026, with further details about the recording, title and release schedule still to come.
