Bob Seger Starts Ride On Tour

Bob Seger opened his Ride Out tour on Wednesday night at the Dow Event Center in Saginaw, MI with a mix of some of his greatest hits and music from the new album.

Six of the songs over the course of the evening were from Ride Out, including The Fireman’s Talkin’ which is only available on the Deluxe Edition. The rest of the evening was mostly a mix of Seger’s best known music with a number of lesser hits and a couple of album cuts thrown in.

Over his career, Seger has had fifteen top twenty hits in the U.S. so it is obviously hard to cover all of them in a single night; however, he only played six on this night (Night Moves, Hollywood Nights, We’ve Got Tonight, Against the Wind, Tryin’ to Live My Life Without You, Like a Rock). For the record, Seger skipped the following:

Ramblin’ Gamblin’ Man (1968 / #17)
Still the Same (1978 / #4)
Fire Lake (1980 / #6)
You’ll Accomp’ny Me (1980 / #14)
Shame on the Moon (1982)
Even Now (1983)
Understanding (1984 / #17)
American Storm (1986 / #13)
Shakedown (1987 / #1)
