Brandy is about to return to Broadway in the role of Chicago’s Roxie Hart.

Chicago originally ran on Broadway for two years from 1975 to 1977, but a 1996 revival is now the second longest running show in the history of the Great White Way with almost 8,600 performances.

Much of what has kept this production going is the long list of actors and musicians who have taken roles. Among the musical artists:

Roxie Hart
Ashley Simpson (2009)
Michelle Williams (2010)
Kara DioGuardi (2011)
Brandy Norwood (2015)
Jennifer Nettles (2015)
Mel B (2016-17)

Billy Flynn
Kevin Richardson of the Backstreet Boys (2003)
Patrick Swayze (2003)
James Naughton (2004)
Tom Wopat (2004-2005, 2008, 2009)
Huey Lewis (2005 & 2006-2007)
Usher (2006)
Brian McKnight (2007)
John Schneider (2008)
Billy Ray Cyrus (2012)

Matron
