APRA/AMCOS CEO Brett Cottle has been announced as a keynote speaker for the Fuse Festival in Adelaide in February.

Cottle has been CEO of the Australian Performing Rights Association (APRA) since 1990 and Australasian Mechanical Copyright Owners Society (AMCOS) since 1997. Between 1994 and 1999 he held the position of Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Committee of CISAC (International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers). Then in 2000 he was appointed Vice Chairman of the Executive Bureau of CISAC and in 2007 its Chairman. Brett is also a director of the Australian Copyright Council and a past member of the Copyright Law Review Committee.

Fuse 2012 will run for three days from February 22-24, 2012 with masterclasses and conference through the day and two nights of live music featuring over 80 acts.

Jon McIldowie from The Great Escape (UK) and Alicen Catron Schneider, head of TV Music for NBC, will also speak at next year’s conference.
