U2 have previewed 16 seconds from their next album ‘Songs of Experience’ with a piece of the song ‘The Blackout’.

‘Songs of Experience’ is the companion to the last U2 album since ‘Songs of Innocence’, released in 2014. The album was originally due in 2015 but has been met with constant delays. U2 also diverted the release by touring ‘The Joshua Tree’ to mark its 30th anniversary.

‘The Blackout’ is a track from the new album. The first official single ‘You’re The Best Thing About Me’ is due on September 6. The full version of ‘The Blackout’ will be available later today.
