Dave Davies has confirmed that he is finally interested in getting back together his brother Ray for a Kinks reunion.

“I would love to do some form of a Kinks reunion with Ray,” Dave posted on Facebook.

Dave has been the reluctant one to reform the band has have previously shot down reports of a reunion.

After a report surfaced about a Kinks reunion in June Dave dismissed the possibility telling fans on Facebook “I met and talked with Ray but nothing has been agreed on yet.”

The musical reunion of Dave and Ray Davies may not be a nostalgia trip. “We both agree we don’t want to do old stuff or tour with past hits. It’s got to be something new,” Ray told the Sunday Times in June.

The Kinks came to prominence with their third single ‘You Really Got Me’ in 1964. The song was released 50 years this week in the USA.
