PSV Touring, the company behind the disastrous De La Soul Australian tour, has lashed out at the veteran hip-hop group who were an embarrassment to fans.

De La Soul’s Sydney show lasted 15 minutes after they arrived over three hours late while they failed to show for their two Melbourne shows this week altogether.

Promoter John Cawley said in a statement on Facebook:

I am very disappointed with everything that happened at the De La Soul show tonight, it’s a terrible Shame for all the fans and everyone involved that this happened. Please read the following update.

On behalf of PSV Touring and Red Bull Music Academy, we sincerely apologize for the delay in tonight’s presentation of De La Soul at the Greenwood Hotel in Sydney.

We would like to offer all patrons the opportunity to claim a refund. Details will be made available via Moshtix to all ticket holders on Monday the 21st of November.

Please be advised that Funkdafied were only brought in to sell an allocation of tickets for this event and the management of the entire tour was handled by PSV Touring and Red Bull Music Academy. All people who purchased printed tickets through Funkdafied will be refunded as soon as possible.

Thank you for your support and understanding.

De La Soul have not made a statement on any of their social media. Their last post on both Facebook and Twitter was on 26 August to promote a new album. They also did not make any mention of the Australian tour in their socials prior to the tour.
