Diesel’s Red Hot Summer Setlist

by Paul Cashmere on February 1, 2019

in News

Diesel is reminding his fans about why they first got into his music with a setlist revolving around his first two albums at Red Hot Summer.

This year marks 30 years since the release of the debut as Johnny Diesel & The Injectors. That first album came out on 6 March, 1989. Diesel is performing three of the hits from the record ‘Don’t Need Love’, ‘Lookin’ for Love’ and a very extended ‘Cry In Shame’.

The second album ‘Hepfidelity’ came three years later, almost to the day. ‘Hepfidelty’ landed on 2 March, 1992. He played ‘Man Alive’, ‘Come To Me’ and Tip of my Tongue’ at Red Hot Summer, Ballarat.

2018 was a big year for Mark Lizotte. Marking his 30th anniversary he released the ‘30: The Greatest Hits’ album and performed the new song from that ‘Give Me Saturday Night’.

James Taylor Farewells Australia With Final Tour (Melbourne Review)

I could go to a James Taylor show just for the stories. The man is a part of music history and is still around to tell the tales of how it all began. Like, for instance, being the first artist signed to Apple Records. James “auditioned” for Apple with his song ‘Something In The Way She Moves’. "Paul went away and started the label and George went away and wrote the song”, he said.
