DJ Khaled Heads For A No 1 Hit With Justin Bieber

DJ Khaled looks set to make his big UK breakthrough this week as his new single I’m The One heads for Number 1, according to today’s Official Singles Chart Update (May 2).

Released last Friday (April 28), the latest all-star collaboration from the Miami-born producer – which features Justin Bieber, Migos member Quavo, Chance the Rapper and Lil Wayne – could become his first UK chart-topper should it hold its position until Friday’s Official Chart reveal.

I’m The One is currently just over 2,000 equivalent sales ahead of last week’s Number 1 single, Clean Bandit’s Symphony ft. Zara Larsson, which slips to 2 today.

Regardless of whether it secures the top spot, I’m The One is all but certain to give Khaled a personal best on the Official Chart; his highest charting single to date is last summers For Free ft. Drake, which peaked at 25.

Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi vaults 17 places to Number 5 with Despacito (which translates to ‘Slowly’) following the release of a new mix featuring Justin Bieber. The original version has been a hit across the world since its release back in January, topping the charts in over 20 countries.

Hip-hop star French Montana looks set for a big climb with Unforgettable ft. Swae Lee, up 11 spots to 13, and Disciples’ On My Mind lifts six places to 22.

Further down, Kygo’s new Ellie Goulding collaboration, First Time, starts at 26, The Vamps’ latest single Middle Of The Night opens at 36, and Katy Perry’s brand new track Bon Appetite ft. Migos is at 39.
