Last week Eddie Van Halen revealed that he was in the studio working on new music with LL Cool J and this week a sample from the session has been unveiled.

According to the Van Halen News Desk Eddie has contributed to the two tracks ‘We’re The Greatest’ and ‘Not Leaving You Tonight’ on the upcoming LL Cool J album ‘Authentic’.

‘Authentic’ is the first album from LL Cool J in five years and his first album since he became special agent Sam Hanna is NCIS: Los Angeles.

‘Authentic’ is the 13th album for the rapper whose first mainstream hit was ‘I Need Love’ in 1987. The album also features an appearance from Rage Against The Machine’s Tom Morello, Fitz and the Tantrums, Snoop Dogg, Fatman Scoop, Seal, Charlie Wilson, Melody Thornton, Earth Wind & Fire, Booty Collins, Travis Barker, Chuck D, Z-Trip, Brad Paisley and Monica.

The album is due at the end of April.
