Even Ready First Album In Eight Years ‘Satin Returns’

in News

Even will release ‘Satin Returns’, their first album since 2011’s ‘In Another Time’ this week.

For ‘Satin Returns’ Ash Naylor, Wally Kempton and Matthew Cotter have reached back to their 70s and 80s influences to produce a riff-ready collection of rock songs designed for the stage and turntable.

“It’s the sound of the three of us, as it was in 1994 to now. We were always intoxicated by opening tracks on albums like ‘ Achilles Last Stand’ by Led Zeppelin and ‘ The Queen Is Dead’ by The Smiths. ‘The Opener’ is our overture, a song to celebrate our re-emergence’.

The new album was created over the past few years with the members of Even gathering at various Melbourne studios to produce a batch of songs at a time.

‘Satin Returns’ is released through even’s own label El Reno Records, set up in 2004 for the release of Even’s fourth album ‘Free Kicks’ album.

‘Satin Returns’ is available for download and on CD now. It will also be released on your choice of black or pink vinyl around 12 June.
