Faith No More Break-Up Again

Faith No More like taking their fans on a roller coaster ride of breakups and reformations.

The band, which formed in 1979, initially broke up in 1998 when vocalist Mike Patton, and then the rest of the band, decided to pursue solo and side projects.

They reformed in 2009 for The Second Coming Tour and then entered another year long hiatus before playing a number of European shows and festivals. Another hiatus lasted until mid-2014 when they played Hyde Park with Black Sabbath and confirmed a new album, Sol Invictus, for 2015.

Faith No More toured in support of Sol Invictus but now seems to be back on a hiatus. Patton appeared on the Full Metal Jackie radio show on Monday (September 11), saying that the band was on an “extended hiatus”.

I would share, but I don’t know anything. We’re kind of on an extended break and if something happens, it’ll happen organically and naturally but I kind of don’t think it will. I kind of feel like we’ve tipped the scales a little bit, but we’ll see, who knows — I’ve learned my lesson not to say no.

Patton is currently involved in the band Dead Cross with Mike Crain (Retox), Justin Pearson (The Locust, Retox) and Dave Lombardo (Suicidal Tendencies, Misfits, Slayer).

James Taylor Farewells Australia With Final Tour (Melbourne Review)

I could go to a James Taylor show just for the stories. The man is a part of music history and is still around to tell the tales of how it all began. Like, for instance, being the first artist signed to Apple Records. James “auditioned” for Apple with his song ‘Something In The Way She Moves’. "Paul went away and started the label and George went away and wrote the song”, he said.
