Frida from Abba Was On An Adam & the Ants Song

Frida from Abba did the spoken word part of Adam & The Ants ‘Strip’ but she couldn’t be credited.

Adam tells Noise11.com, “Strip was recorded at Polar Studios, the Abba studio in Stockholm which is quite a tough call because Abba’s sound is particular.

“Phil agreed to do two tracks, ‘Puss In Boots’ and ‘Stripped’ which is great because he is a fabulous drummer. To watch him record and get those sounds.

“I said to him what about getting one of the girls out of Abba. He got Frida and she turned up to do the mid to late section of ‘Stripped’.

“She came in but she had her hair all done so she put the mic back. She said just don’t tell Stig (her manager) because he’ll want to get paid. We could credit her but it is Frida on “its times like this”.

Adam Ant will tour Australia in October.
