Gotye Debuts In UK Top 50 Singles Of All-Time

Gotye featuring Kimbra ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’ is officially the 39th biggest song of all-time in the UK.

The Official Charts Company, the UK company responsible for compiling the UK chart each week, has updated its list of all-time sellers to reveal the new entry for the Aussie artist.

Three other songs are included in England’s Top 50 best sellers. Olivia Newton-John shares positions 5 and 20 with John Travolta with the Grease songs ‘You’re The One That I Want’ and ‘Summer Nights’.

At no. 42 The Seekers have ‘The Carnival Is Over’.

Gotye, Olivia Newton-John and The Seekers are all Melbourne based artists. Kimbra, who features on Gotye’s hit, is from New Zealand but is now based in Melbourne.
