When Garbage released ‘Not Your Kind Of People’ this year it was their first album together in seven years.

Grammy.com caught up with Garbage at 98.7 FM’s Penthouse at the historic Hollywood Tower in Hollywood to talk about the reunion, the new album and their Grammy nominations.

Garbage have been nominated seven times for a Grammy Award:

Garbage was formed in Madison, Wisconsin in 1993 with Butch Vig, Duke Erickson and Steve Marker. Vig originally was the lead singer of the band but stepped down when they found Scottish singer Shirley Manson.

Hours after Vig met Manson in London, Butch heard about the death of Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain. Vig was the producer of Nirvana’s masterpiece ‘Nevermind’.
