Jackson Browne To Release First Album In Six Years

in New Music,News

Jackson Browne’s first studio album in six years will be out on October 7 (October 6 internationally).

Standing in the Breach is Browne’s first studio album since 2006’s Time the Conqueror. Since then, he has released two live albums, Solo Acoustic, Volume 2 (2008) and Love is Strange: En Vivo Con Tino (2010) with David Lindley.
Standing in the Breach, Browne’s fourteenth studio album, is described as “a collection of ten songs, at turns deeply personal and political, exploring love, hope, and defiance in the face of the advancing uncertainties of modern life.”

Browne will also be going on the road with his full band (Val McCallum (guitar), Mauricio Lewak (Drums), Jeff Young (keyboards), Bob Glaub (bass) and Greg Leisz (guitar, lap steel, pedal steel) which he describes as “…my ideal band, with some of my favorite players, all of whom appear on the new CD, and whose combined gifts provide the musical foundation and emotional underpinnings of my new songs.”

Little more has been released on the album; however, Amazon does have a track list:

The Birds Of St. Marks
Yeah Yeah
The Long Way Around
Leaving Winslow
If I Could Be Anywhere
You Know The Night
Walls And Doors
Which Side
Standing In The Breach
Here
