Today promoter Michael Coppel Presents has announced the Jason Derulo Australian tour in April has been cancelled because of the injury.

In a statement Jason said, “To all my fans who planned to come to the Future History World tour, the pain of letting you down cuts me way deeper than this injury I’ve sustained. My fans mean everything to me so I’m praying for a speedy recovery in order to perform for you in the near future”.

Jason was performing an acrobatic move and landed on his head. He has suffered an acute fracture to his vertebra. He was rushed to Memorial West Hospital in Miami’s Pembroke Pines and was told by doctors that the injury could have left him paralyzed. He has been released from hospital but will spend the next few months in a neck brace.

Tickets for the Aussie tour purchased by credit card online will be automatically refunded. Tickets purchased by cash of EFT will be refunded at the point of purchase.
