Jimmy Barnes Kicks Off Soul Searchin’ Tour In Adelaide

by Paul Cashmere on August 13, 2016

in New Music,News

Jimmy Barnes ‘Soul Searchin’ tour is underway with the first show done and dusted for Adelaide.

‘Soul Searchin’ is a special show for Barnes. The tour showcases Jimmy’s latest album of Soul standards ‘Soul Searchin’ and revisits the three previous albums ‘Soul Deep’ (1991), ‘Soul Deeper’ (2000) and ‘The Rhythm and the Blues’ (2009).

Set One revolved around 2016’s ‘Soul Searchin’ with the occasional throwback to ‘The Rhythm and the Blues’ and an offering from ‘Soul Deep’. Set Two was a best of the three previous soul albums.

‘Soul Deep’ to date is still Barnes biggest selling album. The new ‘Soul Searchin’ was designed to go much deeper, with “more obscure soul songs that people may not have heard – the diamonds in the rough,” Jimmy says.

All four Jimmy Barnes soul albums have been number one albums in Australia.
