John Farnham Is A Big Fan Of Duane McDonald

How does that old song go … “I’m just wild about Harry, and Harry’s wild about me”? Well John Farnham is wild about Duane McDonald and Duane is wild about John. This weekend Duane’s One Electric Day music festival rolls into Werribee and John Farnham is looking forward to headlining it.

One Electric Day is one of those festivals John Farnham loves to do, his manager Glenn Wheatley tells us. In fact, Duane can pretty much take credit for being John’s favourite promoter.

While John has long given up on the elongated tour he still dabbles in live performance with a more relaxed schedule these days. One Electric Day gives John the chance to still play his greatest hits for the fans without having to endure months on the road away from home and the family.

In fact, One Electric Day has become a true family affair. Not only are all the acts on the tour friends, but the audience can also join in the family atmosphere with many children coming out with their parents to enjoy a day of non-stop hits.

John Farnham will hit the stage at 6pm this Sunday for One Electric Day’s Melbourne show. By the time he is performing the audience will already have heard dozens of hits from the 80s and on from Southern Sons, Vanessa Amorosi, Jon Stevens and James Reyne.

This tour is additionally special as Southern Sons are performing their first shows in 20 years.

2019 marked the first year of One Electric Day as a national event. Launceston, Sydney and Brisbane have already had their initial taste of One Electric Day. There is one final show still to go at Seppeltsfield, in the Barossa Valley, South Australia in 7 December 2019.

The Melbourne show for Sunday is sold-out. Tickets are still available for the South Australia event.

Duane McDonald also presents the Red Hot Summer tour. Red Hot Summer 2020 features the return of Hunters & Collectors with James Reyne, The Living End, The Angels, Baby Animals, Killing Heidi and Boom Crash Opera.
