John Fogerty joins Billy Joel to a couple of CCR songs at Madison Square Garden

Legend John Fogerty of Creedence Clearwater Revival joined legend Billy Joel at the legendary Madison Square Garden this week.

Fogerty joined Joel at Joel’s MSG gig to perform two of his Creedence classics ‘Up Around The bend’ and ‘Fortunate Sons’.

Billy Joel has a lifetime, once a month residency at Madison Square Garden in New York. To make it interesting he often brings out a guest at the shows. Previous guests include Jon Stevens, Brian Johnson, Mick Jones and Lou Gramm of Foreigner, Steve Miller, Paul Simon and Miley Cyrus together, John Mellencamp, John Mayer, Patty Smyth and Sting.

Fogerty was in New York for the announcement of the Woodstock 50 line-up. Creedence Clearwater Revival performed at the original Woodstock in 1969. Fogerty will be back for the 50th-anniversary show along with Robert Plant, Santana and Brian Cadd.
