The album is John Fogerty paying tribute to John Fogerty with new versions of his classic songs with his famous friends. “I wrote all these songs,” he told Rolling Stone. ”They’re back home with Daddy, like they should be.”

The former Creedence Clearwater Revival singer remade ‘Fortunate Son’ with Foo Fighters. He recently performed the song live with Dave Grohl at Sundance for the premiere of the ‘Sound City’ movie.

The album also features Fogerty and Bob Seger doing ‘Who’ll Stop The Rain’ as well as appearances from Keith Urban, My Morning Jacket, Kid Rock, Jennifer Hudson, Alan Jackson and Miranda Lambert.

Fogerty has been working on the album since 2010 and originally planned to release it in October, 2012.
