Just For Laughs Sydney has confirmed its complete 2026 lineup, adding a major final wave of shows that includes the return of last year’s sell-out Women Aren’t Funny, brand-new specialised showcases and the festival’s signature All-Star Gala at the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall on 21 November. The announcement brings Zarna Garg, Jason Leong, Reuben Kaye’s Big Gay Show, the Aboriginal Comedy Allstars and the Asia Comedy Showcase into a program that already features Gabriel Iglesias, Greg Davies, Bill Bailey, Dara Ó Briain, Dan and Phil and others.

The Just For Laughs All-Star Gala remains the festival’s centrepiece. Hosted by Melanie Bracewell and Tim McDonald, the one-night event places Geraldine Hickey, Tom Cardy, Anisa Nandaula, David Nihill, Denise Scott, Rhys James and Matt Okine on the Concert Hall stage. Bracewell, the New Zealand comedian and Taskmaster NZ winner known for sharp, deadpan commentary, pairs with McDonald, the Australian broadcaster and Have You Been Paying Attention? regular. The combination of established names and the venue’s scale has made the Gala a consistent sell-out in previous years.

Zarna Garg steps into the Concert Hall on the same night with The Million Dollar Excuses Tour. The Indian-American comedian, who broke through with family comedy videos before releasing her Amazon Prime special One in a Billion in 2023, has already sold out multiple Sydney shows this year. Her Opera House appearance marks a high-profile addition to the closing weekend.

Jason Leong brings In Laughing Memory to the Concert Hall on 20 November. The medical doctor turned comedian, who has two Netflix specials and won the International Hong Kong Comedy Competition, frames the hour around processing the loss of a close friend to cancer. The show marks a more personal direction for an act better known for observational material drawn from medicine and everyday life.

Women Aren’t Funny returns after selling out four performances last year. Hosted by Abbie Chatfield, the Playhouse shows on 14 and 15 November feature Becky Lucas, Nina Oyama, Steph Broadbridge, Dr Esmé Louise James and Lizzy Hoo. The format directly confronts a long-standing comedy cliché by handing the stage to a strong female lineup for 90 minutes of unfiltered stand-up.

New specialised showcases expand the program’s range. The Asia Comedy Showcase, hosted by Michael Hing, runs across two nights in the Studio with Ting Lim, Harry Jun, Dilruk Jayasinha, Neel Kolhatkar, Jordan Leung and Annie Louey. Aboriginal Comedy Allstars, directed and produced by Wes Snelling, gathers Andy Saunders, Janty Blair, Jay Wymarra, Kevin Kropinyeri, Sean Choolburra and Tarsh Jago for a single Studio performance on 16 November. Reuben Kaye’s Big Gay Show takes over the Playhouse on 10 November with Rhys Nicholson, Michelle Brasier, Cassie Workman, Guneet Kaur, Jordan Barr and Scout Boxall.

The Alternative Show, hosted by Demi Lardner, presents Will Gibb, John Cruckshank, David Correos and Alex Hines in the Studio on 19 November. Mid Flight Brawl, with Nick Cody and Luke Heggie, occupies the Comedy Store on 13 November and examines the growing catalogue of in-flight passenger conflicts. Vittorio Angelone brings his new hour You Can’t Say Nothing Any More to three venues across the festival window, while Girls Next Door: Podcast Live! marks the first stage appearance of sisters Steph and Holly Davey at the Studio on 21 November.

The full program stretches from late September through mid-December and spreads across the Sydney Opera House, State Theatre, Enmore Theatre, Comedy Store, Factory Theatre, York Theatre at the Seymour Centre, Afterpay Arena and other venues. Earlier announcements already locked in Bill Bailey, Greg Davies, Morgan Jay, Dara Ó Briain, Lucas Zelnick, Dan and Phil, Peter Antoniou, Saaniya Abbas, David Nihill, Rhys James, Adam Kay, Gabriel Iglesias and RocKwiz Rocks Xmas with Julia Zemiro and Brian Nankervis.

With the final wave now public, Just For Laughs Sydney presents its most varied bill to date, balancing international headliners, returning Australian favourites and targeted showcases that reflect different strands of contemporary comedy. Tickets for the remaining shows are on sale now through the festival site.
