Kanye West To Run For President

The man with the second biggest mouth in America after Donald Trump, Kanye West has announced his bid for American presidency at the VMAs.

The 38-year-old Paranoid rapper was presented with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards, which were hosted at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday.

But when he got up to accept the trophy from Taylor Swift, who he notoriously slammed at the 2009 VMAs, Kanye left audiences baffled by delivering a wordy, disjointed speech.

‘I don’t understand award shows! F**k that, bro,’ he started off the talk with.

Kanye then went on to admit he was under the influence.

‘Y’all might be wondering, ‘did he smoke something before he came out here?’ The answer is yes, I rolled up a little something,’ he confessed. ‘I [took] the edge off.’

Kanye bounced around from topic to topic throughout his speech.

He addressed the children of the future, confidence and his forthcoming political career.

‘I don’t know what’s going to happen tonight. I don’t know what’s going to happen tomorrow, bro. But all I can say to my fellow artists, is just worry about how you feel at the time,’ Kanye noted. ‘I’m confident. I believe in myself. We [are] the millennials, bro. This is a new mentality. We are not going to control our kids with brands. We are not going to teach low self-esteem and hate to our kids. We are going to teach our kids. to believe in themselves.’

Kanye also believes he has a good chance of becoming Commander in Chief one day.

‘And yes, as you probably could have guessed by this moment, I have decided in 2020 to run for president,’ he said.
Before Kanye went to the stage, a replay clip of his notorious run-in with Taylor during the 2009 VMAs was shown. The infamous moment sees him interrupting her while she accepted her Video of the Year trophy.

But the Bad Blood songstress kept it light, cracking a joke while presenting him with the Vanguard award.

‘Imma let you finish, but Kanye West had one of the greatest careers of all time,’ she smiled.
