Katy Perry’s assistant saved the popstar’s beloved dog Nugget when she became unresponsive recently.

Taking to Instagram Stories on Tuesday (05June18) night, the Chained To The Rhythm hitmaker described how her assistant Tamra had issued life-saving CPR to her pup after she fell off the bed and became unresponsive a couple of days ago.

“Tamra, you’re a hero,” Katy told her 70 million followers proudly in the first clip, before asking Tamra to explain what happened.

“Nugget jumped and fell off the bed and became unresponsive and I gave her CPR. I pushed on her little chest and blew in her mouth and I brought her back to life,” Tamra explained before demonstrating how she saved Nugget, who had reportedly passed out for three minutes.

“She’s alive and well, folks,” Katy smiled.

The American Idol judge went on to post snaps of Nugget with a cast on her front leg, writing: “She had to have an IV” with an unhappy face emoji, and shared an image of the brown-haired pup’s X-Ray.

“Fun fact: The doctor said they have never seen a liver so small,” she wrote alongside the snap.

The 33-year-old has been back in the headlines recently for her on-off romance with actor Orlando Bloom.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star gushed about Katy during a recent interview with British publication The Times, saying he’d been “hit sideways” by his feelings for the star. “You don’t pick who you fall in love with,” he added.

A source told Entertainment Tonight last month (May18) that the two are very much in love and work incredibly hard to keep the intimate details of their relationship out of the public eye.
