Legends Pay Tribute To Jack White

The stars have gathered to pay tribute to Jack White.

There are many albums where new artists pay tribute to a veteran singer by recording their songs but its a rarity that those veterans get together and put together a tribute for a modern artist. Of course, if that modern artist has helped boost their music and careers then it could be returning a favor.

That’s the case with Rockin’ Legends Pay Tribute to Jack White, a fourteen-song album of music made famous by the White Stripes, Racantours and White as a solo artist and recorded by the likes of Wanda Jackson, Gary U.S. Bonds, Rosie Flores, Bobby Vee, Sonny Burgess, Big Jay McNeely and many more.

While White hasn’t worked directly with all these artists, he has been instrumental in keeping the music of their era alive through his own recordings, producing work and through releases by his Third Man Records.

In addition to the veterans, a few newer artists are also thrown into the mix including Shooter Jennings, whose roots run deep through father Waylon Jennings, the Dirt Daubers and Los Straightjackets.

Track List:
In The Cold, Cold Night – Wanda Jackson featuring Shooter Jennings
I’m Shakin’ – Big Jay McNeely & Nik Turner
Salute Your Solution – Gary U.S. Bonds
Steady As She Goes – Sonny Burgess & The Legendary Pacers
Trash Tongue Talker – Joe Clay & Cranston Clements
Another Way To Die – Robert Gordon & Chris Spedding
Seven Nation Army – Knox, Walter Lure & W.S. Fluke Holland
Fly Farm Blues – Johnny Powers
We’re Going To Be Friends – Bobby Vee
Blunderbuss – Rosie Flores
Fell In Love With A Girl – The Dirt Daubers
You Don”t Know What Love Is (You Just Do As You’re Told) – Rejected Youth Nation feat. Cyril Neville
