Madonna Re-Enters Australian Album Chart

Despite the Madonna ‘Rebel Heart’ Australian tour being a tabloid feast the fans have voted with their wallets and bumped three of her albums back onto the ARIA chart.

Madonna’s last studio album (and centrepiece of the tour) ‘Rebel Heart’ has returned to the ARIA chart at no 22. The hits compilation ‘The Immaculate Collection’ is at no 37 and ‘Celebration’, the 2CD anthology is at 46 this week.

Madonna is getting an unfair rap from the Australian press with news reports on Channel 7 and 9 as well as the tabloid newspapers based on blatant lies after a drunk Madonna and a Madonna having a breakdown on stage, none of which actually happened.

The Australian media is also fixated on the ‘Rebel Heart’ setlist for not being a greatest hits show although Madonna never does greatest hits shows.

The proper criticism has been aimed at her tardiness in starting the show but reports of her starting her Brisbane show four hours late were also lies.

Madonna’s final two shows are tonight and tomorrow in Sydney. Both shows will be filmed for her next DVD.
