Metallica’s Kirk Hammitt and Robert Trujillo paid tribute to Garbage on the weekend at their Madison, Wisconsin show.

Garbage formed in Madison in 1993. Hammitt and Trujillo marked the occasion with a cover of Garbage’s ‘Stupid Girl’.

“Fucking Love @Metallica” soon popped up on the Garbage Twitter feed.

Metallica started the latest leg of their North American tour in Madison on Sunday 2 September, 2018.
