Michael Jackson’s name will survive Leaving Neverland says daughter Paris

Paris Jackson is certain her father Michael Jackson’s name won’t be torn down following the damning documentary Leaving Neverland.

In the explosive documentary, James Safechuck and Wade Robson claim they were sexually abused by the King of Pop when they were children. Since its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January (19), the late singer’s family and estate have issued denials and taken action to block its broadcast, but his 20-year-old daughter has remained silent.

However, Paris broke her silence on Wednesday night when she spotted an article by Gay Star News which claimed she believed her father was innocent but was worried how the documentary would impact her burgeoning acting career.

“I actually haven’t made any statements yet, especially regarding how it affects my work life,” Paris tweeted. “You guys are reaching a bit. At least this wasn’t a disgusting and attacking article though… Y’all take my life more seriously than I do. Calm yo tittaaaaysss (sic).”

After social media users reacted to her tweets, Paris insisted they should calm down.

“I know injustices are frustrating and it’s easy to get worked up. but reacting with a calm mind usually is more logical than acting out of rage and also…. it feels better to mellow out,” she continued. “Smoke some weed n think about the bigger picture. chillax my dudes (sic).”

One user responded by explaining that the bigger picture was Jackson’s reputation being ruined forever as tabloids were tearing his name down over the allegations.

“So….. not love and peace and trying to carry that message out? tabloids and lies are the bigger picture? i’ll pray for you,” Paris replied. “Yeah they do that to everyone with a good heart and tries to make a dfference (sic) but do you really think that it’s possible to tear his name down ? like do you truly believe they stand a chance ? relax and have peace.”

Following the broadcast of the documentary this week, radio stations in New Zealand and Canada decided to remove Jackson’s songs from their playlists. However, bosses of two music museums – The National Museum of African American Music and the Motown Museum – have decided that they will continue to display Jackson exhibits.
