Russell Morris has delivered ‘Red Dirt Red Heart’, the third album in his blues trilogy and this week Russell and producer Mitch Cairns talk you track by track through the album.

The three Russell Morris albums ‘Sharkmouth’, ‘Van Dieman’s Land’ and now ‘Red Dirt Red Heart‘ form an historical document of Australian history and society. On ‘Red Dirt Red Heart’ that document goes back 40,000 years with stories from the nations oldest race.

While ‘Sharkmouth’ focused on notorious characters and ‘Van Diemen’s Land’ on recent history, ‘Red Dirt Red Heart’ is about the indigenous people and the heart of Australia.

‘Every song on ‘Red Dirt Red Heart‘ is a story and Russell Morris tells the stories to you with Mitch Cairns on iHeartRadio.
