Neil Diamond had diners at a Brooklyn restaurant singing along to one of his biggest hits ‘Sweet Caroline’ this week.

Diamond was dining with his wife of seven years Katie when both Neil and the crowd were on their feet singing along.

She tweeted, “So last night having dinner in Brooklyn, the husband @neildiamond decided to lead an impromptu sing-a-long!” adding the hashtag “#itsfunbeingmarriedtoarockstar”.

Neil Diamond was due to tour Australia in 2018 when the tour was cancelled after Diamond was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease. Neil, aged 77 at the time, announced that he would never perform live again but that he will continue to write and record for as long as he can.

His last albums were the studio and Christmas records ‘Melody Road’ and ‘Acoustic Christmas’ in 2016.
