The new Lady McCartney is American businesswoman 51-year old Nancy Shevell.

The 69-year old former Beatle married for the third time at the same place he wed his first wife Linda Eastman in 1969, the Westminster Register Office. It was Nancy’s second wedding.

Guests at the wedding included the only other surviving Beatle Ringo Starr and George Harrison’s widow Olivia. Paul noted the date would have also been John Lennon’s 71st birthday. Yoko was not in attendance as she was in Iceland for the Imagine Peace ceremony.

Ron Wood, Jools Holland, Twiggy, David Frost and Barbra Walters were also at the reception.

McCartney’s last marriage was in 2002 to Heather Mills. They divorced four years later.
