Prepare For Palace Of The King, Australia’s Next Big Rock Band

by Paul Cashmere on October 11, 2014

in Live,New Music,News

Palace Of The King is a serious rock band. Like Jet, Wolfmother and Airbourne before them, this is the next Australian rock band to watch.

Palace of the King has a familiar face out front. Tim Henwood is currently also doing time with his previous band, the recently reformed The Superjesus. He had a novelty hit in 2002 with ‘Do It With Madonna’ by The Androids and is also a member of Rogue Traders.

Palace of the King also features Leigh Maden, Matthew Harrison, Andrew Gilpin, Anthony Troiano and Sean Johnson. They released their debut EP in 2013, produced by Rusty Brown of Electric Mary. “Everything I love about music has been packaged in these guys,” Rusty said. “I’m both excited and jealous – it’s like watching your best friend open these amazing Christmas presents when all you got were undies and socks.”

The next music release for Palace of the King will be a second EP ‘Palace of the King II: Moon & Mountain’.

Palace of the King will open for The Tea Party and The Superjesus shows in Canberra and Wollongong and then do their own shows in November.

Palace of the King dates

October 17, Canberra, ANU Bar (with The Tea Party and The Superjesus)
October 18, Wollongong Waves (with The Tea Party and The Superjesus)
November 7, Melbourne, Ding Dong Lounge
November 21, Warnambool, The Loft
November 22, Gosford, Entrance Leagues Club
December 12, Melbourne, Yah Yahs
