Rose Carleo Band will launch their national tour for 42 Days with three Queensland shows in January 2027, taking the ARIA-charting album to Ipswich, the Gold Coast and Toowoomba.
Rose Carleo Band will kick off their 42 Days National Album Tour with three Queensland performances in January 2027, opening the next chapter for an album that reached number 34 on the ARIA Albums Chart and number two on the ARIA Australian Rock Albums Chart.
The three-show opening run will take the band to Ipswich on 22 January, the Gold Coast on 23 January and Toowoomba on 24 January. Each performance will feature songs from 42 Days, released in May 2026, alongside selections from the band’s earlier catalogue.
For Rose Carleo, the tour provides an opportunity to take the album’s songs back to audiences following a busy period of recording and live performances.
“I can’t wait to get back on the road with the band, kicking off our ’42 Days’ album tour in Queensland this January. Really looking forward playing these songs live and seeing everyone at the shows!” Carleo said.
The album introduced audiences to two key singles, Son Of God and Dirt Bound. Son Of God draws on the band’s connection to the Young family, while Dirt Bound features Swedish hard rock musician Pontus Snibb. Snibb originally wrote the song for his own band, Bonafide, before Carleo and her band brought their interpretation to the album.
42 Days also has a deeply personal story behind its title track. Carleo wrote the song six weeks after the death of her sister in 2024. During that period, she found herself counting the days since the loss, with the passage of time becoming the central idea behind the song.
That personal experience gives the album a different dimension to its blues-driven rock foundations. Its songs explore memory, friendship and rock history, including a tribute to Elvis Presley.
Rose Carleo Band formed in 2016 when Carleo moved from performing as a solo artist to establishing a permanent group. The current line-up features Carleo on vocals, guitarist and co-writer Mick Adkins, bassist Bill Kervin, formerly of Dragon, and drummer Mick O’Shea.
The band’s musical approach draws on blues rock and Australian pub rock, built around guitar-driven arrangements and a rhythm section designed for the live stage. The Queensland dates will bring that combination to three venues as the band begins its national campaign for 42 Days.
The album followed the band’s successful Japanese performances earlier in 2026, adding an international chapter to a period that has also seen the group develop the record’s material through live shows.
The January Queensland performances are the first announced dates of the national tour, with further Australian shows expected as the campaign continues.
