Scott Weiland will showcase his new band The Wildabouts at SXSW 2015.

Weiland has been touring the USA this year with The Wildabouts playing an almost all-Stone Temple Pilots setlist plus a few of his Velvet Revolver songs and the occasional cover such as David Bowie’s ‘The Jean Genie’.

The Wildabouts are Weiland with Tommy Black, Jeremy Brown and Dan Thompson. Weiland put the band together in 2013 after being dumped by his original band Stone Temple Pilots who then continued to tour without him with Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington in his place.

Co-frontman for The Libertines Carl Barat will also perform for SXSW 2015. Barat announced his new band The Jackals this year and will show them off for the Texas crowd in March.

SXSW Music will be held in Austin, Texas from March 17-22, 2015.
