So far in her career, Shania Twain has only released four studio albums but three of the four were huge sellers.

Twain is currently at number 26 on the RIAA’s list of the biggest selling artists of all time with 48 million units. As for female vocalists, she is sixth behind Barbra Streisand, Madonna, Marian Carey, Whitney Houston and Celine Dion.

In individual albums, Twain’s Come On Over is tied with Fleetwood Mac’s Rumours for number 8 on the all-time list at 20 million. Her second album, The Woman in Me, is at 12 million while her final album (so far), Up!, is at 11 million. Those three albums have all been certified Diamond by the RIAA making her the only female artist to have that many and puts her behind just Garth Brooks (7 diamond albums), the Beatles (6) and Led Zeppelin (5).

Finally, her Greatest Hits album is at 4 million and her self-titled debut is at 1 million.

Now, for the first time, Twain’s four studio albums will be released on vinyl on Friday, October 14. That will actually add up to five new vinyl LPs as Up! is being released in both of its configurations, the country version (green album) and the rock version (red album).

CMT will present Twain with their “Artist of a Lifetime Award” at the CMT Awards on October 20 at Nashville’s Schermerhorn Symphony Center. Shania is the first female artist and only the third overall to receive the honor after Kenny Rogers and Merle Haggard.

Garbage Debut Album ‘Garbage’ Turns 30

When Garbage released their self-titled debut album in August 1995, the alternative rock landscape was already shifting. Grunge was waning, Britpop was peaking in the UK, and electronic music was beginning to infiltrate rock’s DNA. Into this transitional moment stepped Garbage, a genre-blurring project that fused rock guitars, trip-hop beats, industrial noise, and pop hooks into something sleek yet menacing.
