Smashing Pumpkins To Release Machina Albums As Originally Intended

by Paul Cashmere on September 12, 2018

in News

Billy Corgan has revealed that Smashing Pumpkins will reissue the ‘Machina’ the way they were originally intended … as one piece.

‘Machina/The Machines of God’ was released on February 29, 2000 and ‘Machina II/The Friends & Enemies of Modern Music’ seven months later on September 5, 2000.

Corgan’s plan is to sequence the albums together as one big double album. Flood is remixing the project.

Billy Corgan has been talking about the reissue for some time but at one stage legal issues brought the thing to a hold in 2015. He has now confirmed the legal issues have been resolved and that one big ’Machina’ will be released either later 2018 or early 2019.
