Sounds Australia Reveals SXSW Aussie BBQ Line-up

Sounds Australia’s The Aussie BBQ at SXSW has expanded days for 2017 with a line-up featuring country Queen Kasey Chambers, Tame Impala’s Cameron Avery and one to watch Vera Blue.

More than 40 Australian acts will showcase at the SXSW music festival in Austin, Texas this year. This is the 15th SXSW Aussie BBQ.

In a statement, Sounds Australia producer Millie Millgate said, “We once again welcome the ongoing support of the Australian Consulate General in Houston, and are very excited to be part of the G’Day USA program at SXSW to represent the Australian music industry and offer access and exposure to over 70,000 delegates.”

Sounds Australia will present The Aussie BBQ at Brish Square Park, Austin on March 16 and 17.

THE AUSSIE BBQ SXSW 2017 is open to all. Priority will be given to Music/Platinum Badges, then other badges and wristbands. There is no RSVP list.

In addition to the Aussie BBQ, Sounds Australia will also return the Sound Gallery to B.D. Riley’s on 6th Street, Austin with 19 performers showcasing across March 14 and 18.
