Steve Balbi has remade his Noiseworks classic ‘Touch’ for his very first solo album.

Balbi, of Noiseworks and Electric Hippies fame, will release his solo album ‘Black Rainbow’ in September.

‘Black Rainbow’ features songs written by Steve in recent years, including some with his recent band Move Trees. “Adversity can be the greatest teacher, as long as you don’t give up. In a way what this record is doing, it’s summarising my past and bringing me right up until now, so I can move on in a forward direction. Black Rainbow has an overarching sense of optimism tinged with a hint of darkness, much like my journey in life so far,” said Balbi.

Steve produced ‘Black Rainbow’ and will release the album independently on Social Family Records. He will also be on tour with Baby Animals in October.

‘Black Rainbow’ will be released on September 13.
