Mi-Sex have postponed their upcoming Australian dates until May 2025 following frontman Steve Balbi suffering a serious injury.

The Beatles iconic ‘Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band’ album will be performed in its entirety by Russell Morris, Jack Jones, Steve Balbi and Robyn Loau in Sydney and Melbourne in May.

Steve Balbi was recruited by Fox Sports to compose the theme for Gus Worland’s ‘Cricket Tragic’. That turned into a gig to write the theme song for The Big Break and the riff from that has now evolved into the full track ‘Modern Love’.

“I take this job very seriously,” Steve Balbi told a packed crowd for Mi-Sex at the Chelsea Heights Hotel in Melbourne on Friday night. And so he should. After a few years of working around Australia fronting the band Balbi is at that stage where he fits Mi-Sex and Mi-Sex fits him.
