System of a Down’s Serj Tankian delivers haunting new song from Game of Thrones Season 8

Former System of a Down singer and guitarist Serj Tankian has teamed with film score composer Ramin Djawadi for ‘The Rains of Castamere’ from the Game of Thrones Season 8 soundtrack.

Djawadi has scored all eight seasons of Game of Thrones as well as the two seasons of Westworld, the TV series Person of Interest and the 2008 ‘Iron Man’ movie. He has also worked on ‘Batman Begins’, ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl’ and ‘Ned Kelly’.

Tankian appeared in the 2017 live performance of Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience performing this arrangement.
