Akron rockers The Black Keys have hit the studio to start work on their new album, and drop a new video clip.

The Black Keys’ El Camino has been quite the revelation – the mainstream capitalisation on their breakthrough Brothers album – so their next platter is certainly highly anticipated.

Now guitarist Dan Auerbach has revealed to Rolling Stone that they’ve already spent a week in the studio in July between tour dates.

He said that it wasn’t “the most focused studio session” but they did “get some ideas down and started the ball rolling.”

Don’t hold your breath just yet, Black Keys fans. Drummer Pat Carney said “We might not finish it until March since we have to tour so much, but we’ll see. After July, we’ll be able to know how long it’ll take.”

So, basically no new album until mid-2013, at least. In the meantime, check out the official clip for their new single ‘Little Black Submarines’.

‘Tina – The Tina Turner Musical’ Is Both Confronting And Stunning #REVIEW

Before seeing ‘Tina – The Tina Turner Musical’ I wondered how the producers would be able to tell the confronting and often violent story of Tina Turner while maintaining the entertainment factor to hold an audience over two plus hours. Let me say, ‘Tina – The Tina Turner Musical’ succeeds on both a historical level and an entertainment level. This is brilliant theatre.

Don’t bother asking 80 year old blues legend Charlie Musselwhite when he is retiring. I did and this was the answer I got. “I haven’t really thought about it a whole lot. I’ve really enjoyed what I am doing and I would love to come back to Australia. We have always loved Australia. Never had a problem there. Its always been a great time, great people, great audiences. Its just a beautiful place to come and we are looking forward to it.”
