Supergroup The Dead Daisies will spend a month in the UK from November 22 on tour with Black Star Riders.

Formed around the nucleus of Australians Jon Stevens (Noiseworks/INXS) and David Lowy (Red Phoenix/Mink), the powerful musical collective is completed by a line-up that speaks volumes. They include, Charley Drayton (The X-pensive Winos/The Cult), Richard Fortus (Guns ‘N’ Roses/Thin Lizzy), Darryl Jones (The Rolling Stones) and Dizzy Reed (Guns ‘N’ Roses).

Thin Lizzy’s Scott Gorham formed Black Star Riders after Thin Lizzy announced their hiatus. Hiatus. The band features Gorham with Rick Warwick, Jimmy DeGrasso and Marco Mendoza. Mendoza had been playing with Dead Daisies in between Thin Lizzy and Black Star Riders.

“I’m really looking forward to touring with my old band mates in the Black Star Riders. Can’t wait to show them up every night,” Richard Fortus said in a statement.

Jon Stevens was part of the Australian Jesus Christ Superstar tour this year and this tour will keep Stevens on the road overseas until the end of the year. “What a way to finish off the year! The Dead Daisies first tour through the UK with Black Star Riders is going to be one hell of a rocking tour,” he said.

The Dead Daisies have been performing since March when they started an Australian tour with ZZ Top and later toured with Aerosmith.

For fans in Salt Lake City, Utah, USA, The Dead Daisies will appear on CBS Channel 2 KUTV Salt Lake City at 7am or you can watch the live stream HERE.
