Jimmy Barnes has revealed that the headband he is wearing on the classic Cold Chisel album ‘East’ is upside down.

Chisel are currently on their Light The Nitro Australian tour performing their classic songs.

Barnesy is telling the audience that he wore the bought the headband in Japan and wore it to impress his now wife, Jane. That’s it on the cover of their 1980 album ‘East’.

10-years after the release of the album a fan told him that the writing on the headband was upside down.

The Chisel shows are the must see shows of the year. Chisel set the benchmark back in their day that bands then found hard to beat but artists today must find impossible.

The combination of talents with Jimmy Barnes, Ian Moss, Don Walker, Phil Small and Steve Prestwich created a powerhouse of songwriters within one band. To this day Australia has not produced such a potent combination in a single band.

In Australia, Cold Chisel were bigger than AC/DC in their day, without question.

Chisel paid a touching tribute to Steve during his signature song ‘When The War is Over’, without a doubt the greatest example of the blend of Jimmy and Ian’s vocals. New drummer Charley Drayton (X-Pensive Winos, Divinyls) fit right in with the band.

And yes … there will be a new Cold Chisel studio album in 2012. It is finished.

The Cold Chisel setlist from Rod Laver Arena was:

Why Queen’s Quietest Member John Deacon Chose to Become a Recluse Until This Rare Return

For fans of Queen, John Deacon has long been the enigma of the band, a brilliant musician, masterful songwriter, and humble presence behind the scenes. Since the early 1990s, Deacon has shunned the spotlight, retiring quietly after Freddie Mercury’s death in 1991. But now, years later, he has quietly resurfaced, lending his signature alongside bandmates Roger Taylor and Brian May on a charity auction item, signalling, perhaps, that even the most private of souls can still make their mark in unexpected ways.
